Mesenteric adenitis due to Yersinia enterocolitic

The first case of mesenteric adenitis in our country was reported in a 3-year old girl infected by Yersinia enterocolítica. A stool culture was obtained and we recovered pathogenic bioserotype 4/O:3 strains, having also found virulence plasmid.
