Workplace dermatitis due to contact with chromium

A case of allergic dermatitis due to contact with chromium (DACC) is presented: a patient exposed to sodium dichromate with positive patch test. The case shows clinical, chronologic and process characteristics described in worldwide literature. Allergic dermatitis due to contact with chromium is a frequent cause of workplace dermatitis in Uruguay, but prevalence is still unknown. Diagnosis of allergic dermatitis due to contact with chromium at workplace is important to functional and labor prognosis.
