EUTHANASIAAbstract
In recent months, and through the media, the issue of euthanasia has been discussed in our country. Perhaps the most removable has been that the initiative was borne by patients with progressive and disabling diseases (1). Civil society groups and doctors with mixed positions about euthanasia are also actively involved in this debate.
On July 30, 2019, a large open interdisciplinary athenaeum, which met in person and online called by two services of the Faculty of Medicine - the Chair of Legal Medicine and Forensic Sciences and the Academic Unit of Bioethics - confirmed interest in the social debate of bioethical problems at the end of life and, very specifically, of euthanasia.
