The Medical Journal of Uruguay adheres to the policies of prior registration of clinical trials

Abstract

The Editorial Board of the Revista Médica del Uruguay decided to adhere to the policies for the registration of clinical trials of the World Health Organization (WHO) and the International Committee of Medical Journal Editors (ICMJE), recognizing the importance of these initiatives for registration and its international dissemination of information on clinical studies, in open access.
Consequently, only clinical research articles that have received an identification number in one of the Clinical Trials Registries validated by the criteria established by WHO and ICMJE, whose addresses are available at the website, will be accepted for publication as of 2007. ICMJE site. The identification number should be recorded at the end of the abstract.
