Abstract

In December 2009, the Editorial Board of the Medical Journal of Uruguay (RMU) made public its decision to advance the strategic partnership project open to all national biomedical journals. (1)
The proposal meant to challenge us to find a design capable of strengthening the strengths present in the varied and multiple national research and bibliographic production, overcoming - in turn - the weaknesses determined by its strong dispersion, the discontinuity of a good part of the offer and the dissimilar ones. selection criteria for articles to be published required by the respective editorial addresses.
